Where We Go

Caring Canines serves over 50 facilities each month in the greater-Boston area. We visit extensively within the route 95 corridor and from the northern cities of Reading and Stoneham, west to Sudbury and Natick, and south as far as Needham. We are focused on serving elderly residents in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities, children in hospitals and school special-education classrooms, adolescents with behavioral challenges, and individuals with disabilities at day habilitation and residential programs.  At this time we are unable to provide visits one-time visits in a corporate or office setting.

Requesting Visits:

Caring Canines Visiting Therapy Dogs, Inc. has a waiting list of facilities who would like to be served by our program. In order to request visits, we need to hear from the person-in-charge of actually scheduling the visits: the activities coordinator, school principal, executive director, etc. Please have the person-in-charge of therapy dog visits send an email to info@caringcanines.org with the following information:

  1. Name and address of the facility.
  2. Type of facility, population served, how many people would be present at a visit.
  3. Contact info (name, email, phone) of the person-in-charge of setting up visits.

We will then let you know we have received your request and inform you if we will be able to serve your community in the future. Meanwhile, please refer to the Links page for other area programs that might be able to assist you immediately. We thank you for your interest in having us visit and look forward to hearing from you
